Sophia Gardens Our Rooms

“This is the big one. A large versatile event space where anything is possible”

Our largest room with a theatre capacity of 800, The Sophia Hall has played host to countless large-scale events since it opened for the 1999 Cricket World Cup. This is most certainly our room of choice when size matters.

The amber energy® Lounge.

“Floor to ceiling windows and panoramic views of the hallowed turf of our international cricket ground give the Sytner BMW Lounge a sense of grandeur.”

The contemporary styling of the The amber energy® Lounge is keenly appreciated by event organisers looking to inject prestige when first impressions count.

“Ground level access just metres from your car. This suite is the ultimate in convenience.”

Located on the ground floor of The Discover Leeks Pavilion, a warm welcome is assured when your guests arrive at our striking main reception.

Wild Water Lounge

“Situated on the second floor of The Discover Leeks Pavilion, with a breathtaking view from the adjoining open-air terrace.”

Our most elevated suite, the Wild Water Lounge is ideal for mid-sized conferences and events and enjoys panoramic views of our pristine playing surface. Close proximity to the Players’ Dining Room and the lunch-spot for international cricketers.

Legends Lounge

“The Legends Lounge is a flexible and ‘event practical’ space situated on the ground floor of National Cricket Centre at The SSE SWALEC.”

When utilised in conjunction with the Sophia Hall, the two rooms combine to create one of Cardiff’s largest and most flexible event facilities.

“This room is functional rather than fanciful but the windows, sky lights and views of the hall do provide an airy charm for your meeting.”

Best used for presentations and meetings, the Lewis Lounge overlooks The Sophia Hall and the hallowed turf of The SSE SWALEC.

“Designed to be utilised as an event space as well as an attraction for visitors.”

The Museum is situated on the first floor of the National Cricket Centre at Glamorgan’s headquarters. Created in partnership with CC4, the Cardiff based multimedia company and e-learning specialists, the award-winning Museum celebrates the long rich history of cricket in Wales.
